Bruce Joule's Last Fishing Report for 2007
Opening Day on the Kennebec

Only Weeks Away...

The striped bass are on the move up the eastern seaboard. I've heard from folks who are currently taking a few fish in Rhode Island. We should start catching bass here in Maine in short order. There are usually stripers south of Portland by the end of the second week of the month. They will fill into Casco Bay and the Kennebec soon after their arrival on the southern coast.

We'll start more regular posts with updates on reported catches, preseason prep and early season tactics. As always, feel free to call or email with questions about tackle and techniques.

See you on the water soon,

Capt. Peter Fallon
